Tempo Explained: How to save time in your hiring process
Tempo is designed to make it quick and easy to hire great candidates. We do that by automating some of the most time consuming bits of the hiring process so you waste no time in getting in front of quality, relevant and engaged candidates.
Candidate Matching
This starts with instantly matching you to relevant candidates. You don’t need to wait for applications – instead you’re instantly matched to jobseekers from our marketplace, usually in batches of 10 so you can properly assess each profile rather than having to sift through hundreds of CVs, spending very little time on each person.
Candidates are matched based on their skills and experience, preferences and expectations as well as their on-platform behaviour.
Going from job post to engaging with high quality, relevant and engaged candidates takes minutes on Tempo, rather than days or sometimes even weeks through traditional channels like job boards.
You will also receive proactive applications but our platform will highlight the people who look well suited so you can check them out first.
Interviewing
The next area where you’ll save a significant amount of time is interviewing. The average interview to hire ratio is 6:1 on Tempo vs 22:1 through traditional channels, meaning you’ll save 12 hours of interviewing time on every job.
How? Well firstly, our talent marketplace is very focused. We have a large pool of candidates who are looking to work in customer facing and commercial roles at modern, growing companies. You won’t have to wade through builders, bakers, data analysts, chefs or lawyers to find them!
Secondly, we show you the information that really matters upfront. All candidate profiles include what you would expect from a CV, combined with pay expectations, availability, skills, references, any relevant learning that person has undertaken, and even videos where they can explain their experience and motivations.
This means you’re better equipped to decide who to take forward in the process, reducing the total number of candidates you need to speak to – saving you tonnes of time.
Time to Hire
The end result is that the average time to hire on Tempo is just 11 days, rather than 43 days if you go through traditional channels.
If you’re saving 32 days on each role that’s time that can be spent sourcing for those tricky, hard to fill roles that might otherwise be sent out to an agency. Therefore having a positive knock on effect on your direct hire metrics.
Or you could go on a lovely beach holiday. Or cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats and back again.

“LinkedIn takes a lot of time and effort to reach and to connect with the right kinds of people. Candidates on Tempo have the right experience that you’re looking for and that really helped us to feel like we have a stronger pipeline to recruit from straight away.”
