Candidate Conversations: How to make a great Tempo profile
You are more than your CV. You know it, we know it. And companies need to know it too. At Tempo, via your candidate profile, you are provided with an array of tools to show employers what you have to offer and to ensure your personality really shines through.
Meghan Brown, Tempo’s Senior Candidate Experience Executive recently sat down with a Tempo candidate, Hugo Thomas, to discuss his experience of creating his profile on Tempo.
What were your initial thoughts on Tempo and the understanding of the platform?
“From the first look, it’s great! So far it’s been really simple. The set-up process is easy and helpful as it shows everything I need to include in my profile.”
Hugo particularly liked the skills section as something different than what he would do when writing his CV, and it helped to display what skills he’d picked up in his most recent marketing role.
“The preset list of skills was very handy to just choose which skills related to my experience.”
Hugo also liked the references section. Although providing references is common throughout a hiring process, he liked that references from previous employers would be on his profile and help him to stand out from the crowd.
What did you think of the profIle creation process?
Hugo used the CV import feature so that automatically filled out a lot of the sections for him. He then had to just rearrange some of the information so it was correctly formatted within Tempo.
“I almost forgot what the process was like as it was so quick to complete.”
What’s your favourite feature of Tempo?
“Jumping on from profile creation, but I like the details you get from companies when you’re matched to jobs. You get to see the dress code and the company culture which is great – it’s not something you usually get to see before applying to a role.”
What should I include in my Tempo profile?
When you first create your Tempo profile, there are only a few sections which must be filled out before you can find your dream role:
⭐️ A short bio
⭐️ Most relevant work experience
⭐️ Availability to start
⭐️ Education
⭐️ Job preferences
That’s it! Once these are completed, you will be instantly matched to roles that meet your preferences.
